At age 6, I began dancing at the Anthony Alexander School of Dance in New Orleans, LA. My sister and I danced jazz duets in recitals and in Mardi Gras balls. As a teenager and beyond, I could be found every weekend on the dance floor. I began dancing ballroom dance, west coast swing and Zydeco in 2005 in Baton Rouge, LA. I joined the Bay Area Whip Club when I moved to Houston. West coast swing is my favorite dance because I am able to be creative and self-expressive. As a teacher, I enjoy seeing students smile as they master the dance.
